?20 Error: Out of memory (0)

Dear Community,

I get the following error when I try to run a rather simple single-objective function LP model:

?20 Error: Out of memory (0)

?20 Error: Out of memory (0)

XPRS: Error when optimising the problem.

Mosel: Error located at line 70 of `D:\Model.mos'.

IVE: Execution interrupted

Line 69 and 70 refer to:

          obj_w:= sum(i in Country_Sectors)ouput_level(i)

           maximize (obj_w)

I'm reading in a 256 MB Excel file into the model. The Excel file includes an matrix of 4400 by 4400 and two vectors of 4400 cells each. Some of the values in the matrix has up to 17 decimal places.

I have XpressIVE 8.2 32 bit. My system has 8 GB of RAM and a 64 bit OS

Is the 256 MB Excel file simply to big for XpressIVE? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Alistair
