Can FICO Blaze Advisor be hosted on AWS cloud?
If so, could you please share some case-studies or some reference architecture?
Blaze Advisor in the cloud is called FICO® Decision Modeler. You can get a trial via the FICO Analytic Cloud: Decision Modeler – FICO Analytic Cloud
We are using Blaze Advisor in our environment. We are not licensed for the Decision Modeler component of Blaze, but the standard designer and RMA.
I have however designed our solution to run within a Docker container inside a Kubernetes cluster. This does mean that the solution can scale out, and AWS does cater for running a docker cluster. So hosting the decision engine itself in AWS or scaling between your private cloud and AWS would definitely be possible with what we build.
Our solution that wraps around Blaze, also caters for cache enabled lookups to backend systems in a quite generic way, for which we are using Hazelcast currently (also available in AWS) that runs right next to the decision server on the same docker cluster. This could be switch out with a Redis solution without a large amount of effort as well.
Based on this, it is definitely possible to host your Blaze decision server in AWS. If it is a decision service that gets used by external parties, the endpoints could be exposed as AWS Lambda's as well, and a per use charge/financial model tied to it.
