I want to integrate my mainframe CICS (COBOL) application programs with balze advisor rules directly. Is there any way to communicate directtly?
If we updated the rules, how it will reflect in COBOL programs?
Blaze Advisor comes with a COBOL add-on that lets you to import your copybooks into Blaze to use them as any other object model, write rules against them and then export those rules into COBOL code. You can compile this code, link into your CICS program and call as any other COBOL subprogram, passing the data via linkage section. If you need to change the rules, you export them again, recompile and load into CICS as you would do with any other COBOL program.
Blaze Advisor for COBOL has been around for several years now and is used on mission-critical and very large production projects, so it is very stable and reliable.
Thanks for your help, I'm following the same process which you explained, but each and every time when we modifying the rule we need to export the COBOL sub pgm and compile and link with our CICS pgm. Is there any other way to inegrate mainframe and Blaze advisor.
I have one question.
Can we follow the bellow process to direct communication with rule engine.
CICS Map -> COBOL pgm -> Request MQ's - Java pgm -> Blaze -> Java pgm -> Response MQ's -> COBOL pgm, CICS map
